Eric Ramirez was arraigned at the Stamford courthouse Friday where he was charged with several counts of burglary and larceny, the Advocate said
Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Joseph Valdes told Judge Gary White that Ramirez broke into a Stamford home near the water and took an AirSoft gun, a saber sword and a Chevy Silverado, the newspaper reported.
Police spotted Ramirez driving and pursued him up into Pound Ridge, at a high rate of speed, state police said. That's when Ramirez used the pickup to “ram” two Stamford police cruisers tried to hit another one head-on.
Ramirez ended up flipping the truck, state police said.
The judge ordered Ramirez held in lieu of a $100,000 court appearance bond. He is scheduled to appear in court again on March 12, the Advocate said.
He also faces charges in New York for possession of stolen property, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
